Our Aims

The first years of a child’s life are the most important and the primary aim at our daycare is to provide each child with the highest level of care, in a stimulating environment. The children are encouraged to learn: through play, from their surroundings and from each other.

We offer care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, enabling them to experiment and explore through each development stage with an appropriate balance of adult/child initiated activities and play. We encourage them to discover their own identities, promoting self confidence and a firm foundation for future learning.

The daycare is a purpose built setting that is light, bright and fully accessible to all children.

They are made to feel safe and secure when exploring in their surroundings.

An excellent learning environment indoors and out, plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development.

All children are allocated a Key Person who will help your child settle into Nursery. This enables your child to form a close relationship with one member of staff and to become part of a little group of similar aged children. This person will take responsibility for your child’s learning and development and develop effective relationships with the whole family. They will share information with you on a regular basis and take responsibility for your child’s individual learning journal and developmental records.

The standard of care and education we provide is monitored by Ofsted and through our own internal audit and monitoring systems.

We have been successful in achieving numerous awards in Day care and as part of Dubmire Community School.
