Remembrance Day Assembly – Lieutenant Michael Johnson

On Wednesday 11th November, Key Stage 2 were visited by Lieutenant Michael Johnson, who is a serving officer in the Royal Navy.  He came to lead a Remembrance Day Assembly.  The assembly included some facts about his role in the Navy but mainly focused on Remembrance Day and its importance.  He informed children about why we wear poppies and where all of the donations go.  Lieutenant Johnson was very impressed with the amount of children that were wearing poppies and supporting the important day.
